Kim Castellino

Kim Castellino is a Managing Director of Strategic Governance Advisors (SGA), which helps boards and executives secure shareholder support for a company’s stated strategic objectives – especially in situations where building long-term value may impact short-term financial performance. He holds an MS in Finance from Loyola University, Baltimore; an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow; and a BS from Mumbai University.

Kim was previously Vice President – Global Research Operations at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), the world’s largest proxy advisor with 1,400 institutional shareholder clients managing more than $20 trillion in assets. Over his 10 years at ISS, he served as Head of US Research, Head of Global Research Technology, a member of the ISS Global Policy Board (and Chair of the Board Policy Sub-Committee) and as Research Lead for the Energy and Industrials Sector.

Kim also covered more than 250 annual and special meetings each year, including more than a fifth of the S&P 500 index, as well as proxy contests and contested mergers. He also led development of the Say-on-Pay analysis and Corporate Governance templates in the US Research Report, and was a key member of the development of the ISS Equity Plan Score Card analysis framework.
