Bradley Vitou

Vice President

Brad Vitou is a Vice President at Strategic Governance Advisors.

Brad advises public companies and hedge funds on transactions, proxy contests, shareholder proposals, and other corporate governance matters. He has consulted on a number of contested M&A deals, including Bristol-Myers Squibb’s acquisition of Celgene, Anadarko’s sale to Occidental, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited’s acquisition of Shire plc, Alpine Electronics’ acquisition of Alps Electric.

Brad also advises companies facing shareholder activism. Brad helps clients identify and proactively address areas of conflict with shareholders which an activist might exploit – which includes developing outside-looking-in assessments on capital allocation, operating efficiency, M&A, and other key issues. He then develops new materials to help companies “close the gap,” including through direct engagement with shareholders.

Brad was formerly a Director in the Capital Markets and Activism Solutions groups at FTI Consulting. Prior to his role at FTI Consulting, Brad was an Equity Research Associate within the Industrials group at Keybanc Capital Markets. Brad began his career rotating through KeyBanc’s investment banking, finance, and credit risk program.

Brad holds a B.B.A. in Economics from Loyola University New Orleans and an MBA from EDHEC Business School in France.
